Since 2009 the reference point for Wi-Fi in Italy
NanoBeam ac Gen2 NBE-5AC-Gen2 Ubiquiti
The second generation of AC series
Ubiquiti Networks launches the latest generation of airMAX® CPE, the NanoBeam® 5AC Gen 2.
Improved noise immunity
The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 directs RF Energy into a narrower beamwidth. Focusing in one direction, the NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 blocks or spatially filters out noise, improving noise immunity. This feature is especially important in an area with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency.
Integrated design
The radio and antenna are combined to create a more efficient and compact CPE.
Providing high performance and an innovative form factor, the NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 is versatile and cost-effective to install.
airOS v8 is the revolutionary operating system for the new airMAX ac products.
Powerful Wireless Features:
Improved usability
• airMagic® channel selection tool
• Redesigned user interface
• Dynamic configuration changes
• Instant input validation
• HTML5 technology
• Optimization for mobile devices
• Detailed device statistics
• Full range of airView diagnostics, RF diagnostics and spectrum analyzer tools
Advanced RF analysis
airMAX ac devices feature a multi-radio architecture to implement the revolutionary RF analysis method. An independent processor on the PCBA powers up a second dedicated radio, which persistently scans the full 5GHz spectrum providing the most advanced RF analysis.
Real-Time playback of reports
The following RF information is present on the main screen of airOS 8:
- RF Persistent Error Vector Magnitude (EVM), constellation diagrams
- Carrier to interference-plus-Noise Ratio (CINR) histograms
- Signal, Noise and Interference Pattern (SNI)
Spectral analysis
airView helps you identify sources of noise and improve the efficiency of your networks by minimizing interference.
The software performs the following functions:
airView works in the background without the need to disable the wireless link, in order to ensure continuity of service.
In airView, there are three spectral views, each representing different data: waveform, waterfall, and ambient noise level. airView offers spectrum analyzer functionality, eliminating the need to rent or purchase additional equipment to conduct surveys.
UMobile APP
The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 integrates a separate Wi-Fi radio for quick and easy setup using a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc).
Access to airOS via wi-fi
The U ®Mobile application provides instant access to the airOS configuration interface and can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play ™ (Android). UMobile allows you to set up, configure and manage the NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 and offers several configuration options once connected.
airMAX ac technology
Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocols, Ubiquiti uses the airMax Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol which allows each client to send and receive packets using a pre-designated time slot controlled by an intelligent AP controller.
The time slot method eliminates collisions at hidden nodes and maximizes effectiveness.
It also provides improvements in latency, throughput, and system scalability.
Support QoS function.
Outstanding performance
The new generation airMAX ac increases the advantages of the TDMA protocol also in its scalability.
Breakthrough throughput
airMAX ac supports high data rates requiring 256QAM modulations, a significant leap forward from the 64QAM used in the airMAX. Using airMAX ac technology, the series products support up to 450+ Mbps of real TCP/IP throughput (three times the throughput of standard airMAX products).
Hardware overview
The NanoBeam 5AC Gen2 is equipped with airMAX ac technology and is protected against ESD events.
