Passive PoE injector with Jack standard 5,5x2,1mm DC POEINJv2 RF Elements
Passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a simple way of providing power to an access point through an ethernet cable. Passive PoE uses free wires in the ethernet cable to send the equipment's power along them to the other end.
Avoid using low-cost or anonymous copies in order to avoid the risk of damaging your device. We deliver Injector only or Whole Set, both using standard 5.5×2.1 mm DC power jack.
ver a short distance, its usually possible to use the power adapter supplied as standard with the access point or with other
network elements which we wish to connect along the Ethernet cable. If the loss of the voltage on the wiring along longer lengths of Ethernet cable is too
high, it is possible to use another more powerful power adapter, to eliminate this loss of voltage.
How It Works
It is designed for products that do not support Power Over Ethernet by default. Passive PoETM set can be used with a wide range of network products such as access points, routers, IP cameras, modems, switches, or embedded computers.
The range of Passive PoE usually reaches 30-40 metres (100-130 ft) but the actual distance depeneds on the power supply or the device, among others. Passive PoETM can be used with the power adaptor commonly supplied with the network device.
Panel Installation
Passive PoE can be easily integrated into the face plate of your network device. Create a cutout in the plate as depicted below, and simply insert and turn the cable for about 45 degrees.
