Since 2009 the reference point for Wi-Fi in Italy
Optical fiber patch cord 2xLC + 2xLC Multimodal OM3
Optical fiber patch cord 2xLC + 2xLC Multimodal
It's a cable consists of two parallel sections of OM3 fiber, 3 meters long with 2 LC connectors on both ends.
Main features:
The LC connectors are characterized by easy installation and provide the possibility of using optical ports at high density, it is miniature versions of SC connectors.
These patch cables are characterized by low attenuation and back reflection (reflectance). They use highest quality ferrules, each patch cable is subjected to quality control: surface inspection and measurement of transmission parameters, return loss and insertion.
The multimode fibers used in the cable are of OM3 50/125, currently the most popular multimode fibers that may be used in the transmission window I or II (850/1310 nm).
The attenuation does not exceed 3.5 dB / Km in the first transmission window and 1.5 dB / km in the second window.
The OM3 standard provides a higher data throughput over longer distances than its predecessors.
The 10-Gbps transmission speed is possible for distances up to 550m while you can get speeds up to 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps over distances of up to 100m.
